today I tried to play online with a friend that visited me at home. I couldn't join his session and he couldn't join my session. Sometimes there appeared a message that I timed out. Does anyone know whats the problem?

You both have different computers, right? I don't think there'd be a reason for the server to not work. I could get on my other computer later today and test it out just to make sure. And timing out happens sometimes - i don't think it's anything unusual. Though if you could describe what happened with more detail, that'd be helpful.
Yes, we use different computers, but the same internet (at my house). We tried again yesterday and couldn't join the session. Also when one hosted a session the other one wasn't able to host another session. I forgot to tell that the sessions had no names. Usually there stands "None Available", if there is no session existing. After hosting a session there was just a red edging around the uppermost field without text in it. When we pressed join either nothing happened or the message of timing out appeared.
