| I got bored of everyone asking questions, so here's the most common ones. The top bit is the PT FAQ and the bottom bit is the GFF FAQ. Use this topic for any questions you have that aren't shown here.
Pokemon Twilight FAQ
Q. What happens after the third gym?
A. Although that's where the story stops (for now), you can try to catch all the Pokemon and find Secret Areas. New content is in the works, but it takes time, so you have to be patient.
Q. How can I catch [anypokemonhere]?
A. Take a look at the unofficial PT guide.
Q. When does [anypokemonhere] evolve?
A. Take a look at the unofficial PT guide.
Q. What is [anypokemonhere] based on? Why is it called what it's called? What did it use to look like?
A. The species guide contains all this and much more!
Q. Where is the latest version of PT found?
A. The YoYoGames version is always the latest one (apart from betas, which are private). It can be downloaded here, or played directly here.
Q. Do I lose all my progress whenever a new version of PT is released?
Nope, you can continue to play with your save file intact.
Q. Is PT finished?
A. No, PT is a WIP. It's currently on version 5.08 at the moment.
Q. Is it still being worked on though? How can I tell?
A. Have a look at the news topic, which offers up-to-date information on PT's progress.
Q. How many pokemon are obtainable in Pokemon Twilight in the latest version?
A. Excluding any events, 64.
Q. How many pokemon can you catch in PT?
A. At the moment, only 64 are obtainable. Eventually, PT will have 150.
Q. Can you catch real pokemon in PT?
A. No.
Q. Can you tell me where a secret area is?
A. No. They're called secret areas for a reason. You have to find them yourself.
Q. Why can't I battle online?
A. It hasn't been made yet. It'll be coming in the next major patch.
Q. Are there any major differences to the main pokemon games?
A. Yes, a few. An extra type (Light) has been added (the effectivenesses can be found in the guide). There are now 7 pokemon in a party instead of 6. Pokemon can get to level 150 instead of 100. The shiny chance has been changed to 7800 (or 7000 for a starter) instead of 8192. The move you use when you have no PP left has been named from Struggle to Flail. You can now catch money and furniture as well as pokemon by fishing.
Q. How many gyms are there in PT?
A. So far, there are 3 playable ones. The other 5 will come in later versions.
Q. When does the daycare open?
A. In a later version of PT.
Q. Is there more than one shiny form per pokemon?
A. At the moment, no. In the future, yes.
Q. PT is asking me to remove Cheat Engine even though I've already uninstalled it. Why?
A. This shouldn't happen anymore, but if it does, delete the empty CE folder from program files.
Q. Can I load my save from a previous version of PT?
A. The newest version of PT will only load saves from a few minor versions back, not v4.
Q. I can't connect to a server! What do I do?
A. The server isn't up 100% of the time. Just be patient and wait for it to be refreshed.
Q. Why can't I upload pokemon?
A. Sometimes, when a glitch is found with uploading, the feature is disabled while it's fixed. You'll have to wait until the next patch to start uploading.
Q. How do I trade in-game?
A. Once you're connected to a server and in a session, head over to one of those small computers in the top left of a PC. Press X and to start the trade, and wait until another person starts trading with you.
Q. What does the sign that you can't get to in the secret TM area say?
A. "Cheater." (How did I know this? Due to a glitch that allowed you to get there.)

Q. Why does [anymemberhere]'s signiture have my name in it?
A. More than likely they're using a special [tag] which displays the name of whoever's viewing it - you.
Q. Who is Pantheon?
A. Pantheon is the shoutbox chatbot. He replies every now and again.
Q. Can I change my username?
A. You'll have to PM Kabob799 if you want your username changed.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. You can't yet, though it should be something that's programmed fairly soon.
Q. What is the link up the top-right of the page called "Pokemon Center"?
A. It's where you can see your uploaded pokemon and accept trades for other people's pokemon.
Q. When I try to edit it just takes me back to the edit page. Why is this?
A. The edit feature has a word requirement. If you do not have enough words in your post, it will not allow you to edit it to this. Strangely this does not apply to new posts, which can be annoying as you can add to a post and not be allowed to edit it.

| I don't know if this is supposed to be here, but I've got a few questions that aren't here in the FAQ:
1. Where can I check what version I have (in-game or not)
2. How does connecting to servers work? Always when I try to connect, it says it can't.
3. What is uploading and downloading pokemon used for?
4. When it is night, do pokemon accur quicker? (ifnot, is this a good idea? :D)
5. How is it possible you can sleep "in"your bed, from for sides (starting house), and not just from above, like your really "in bed"?
6. Why does Beauty Jasmine in the Forest on Route 2 slide? (So not walk?)
7. How come, when I walk between two borders, sometimes the music gets messud up?

8. What's with the HM Secret Power? What to do with it? Is it for the trees you can climb?

1. You can't actually check it, except from the download page. If it's off YYG, it's probably the latest one.
2. Sometimes the servers aren't working. If it doesn't let you connect try again later.
3. It's used for forum trading. Upload them, trade them, then download your new pokemon back to your game.
4. Different pokemon may appear at night, but not any quicker.
5. That's just the way it's been programmed :P
6. There are still a few glitches. This one's been reported already, so it should be fixed soon.
7. Yeah, there are still a few music glitches. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon too.
8. Secret Power has two uses. 1 - you can use it to make secret bases in large trees and indents in rocks. 2 - you can use it to uncover secret areas. |

1. So, If I go to YYG PT, click on "PLAY NOW" or "Download this game now!" I'll have the latest version for 100% sure?
2. But yesterday they weren't working either (yesterday I tried connecting to some USA server, and today to BETA (Lody) AUS server).
3. What If I upload my pokemon on my current account, start over(because I want to start over, since alot of new things are added according to everyone :D), will I be able to download them when I connect en then press the download button? (i sure hope so, otherwise I may not restart, what do I miss then? (My sotry started with earhtquakes and some pkmn sickle/pickle or w/e missing).
4. Ah okey, I haven't noticed any different pkmn at night. I've been on route 1, route 2, forrest (in route 2?) all the way till ivory town.

8. a. Large trees are the ones that are lighter green, right? And what does indents in rocks mean?  b. Secreat Area's!? Rly!? Where?? (erm.. wait when I know where, it won't be a secret anymore.. bummer.. meh w/e..Where!? ).
Because of this game I really wanna pick-up that good old Gameboy again and play Pokemon Yellow :P (Or the NDSLite and play the "newer" pokemon (they always keep the story the same, don't they? xD).

| 1. Yes.
2. The USA official one is best, but sometimes it's not working properly. The other one may work, I haven't tried it. (I think Lody's one isn't working properly - you'll have to wait until GF restarts the official one.)
3. Yes, you should be able to do this. Bear in mind downloading doesn't actually work yet, so you'll have to wait until a later version to get your pokemon back.
4. Check out my guide for the different pokemon if you want.
7. I don't think they really want help, I've offered before :P
8.a. On route 2, above the furniture store, there is one such tree. Also, just after Mossville, above a ledge is another one. The indents look a bit like dark windows in rock ledges. You'll see a few around route 4.
8.b. Look at my guide, it shows screenshots of them. I can't tell you where they are though - they're secret :P The challenge is to find them for yourself. |

| Always when I use my Old Rod, the fish get away (or there isn't even a nibble). Is there some trick needed to fight fish pokemon?
EDIT: And how many HM's are there in the game already? And which ones? (I now there is the HM Secret Power, but (and maybe surf and cut, because I saw water routes and cutable trees) what others are there? And why didn't I get surf from the Waterpokemon Gym leader?
EDIT2: I've got a secret base now, but, I still don't know what to do with the rocks or something? Which one's are the rocks? And the boy in the shop says he made trees dissapear, how to do that? :) << Ignore, I found them, but it says I already have a base on Route 2.. :/

| 1. When you use the rod, wait until an exclamation mark appears over your head. As soon as it does, press X to catch whatever you've caught.
2. There are currently 3 HMs in the game. Secret Power, Surf and Fly. You don't get HMs from gym leaders, you find them - the battle simply allows you to use them outside of battles.
3. Rocks inside your base? Or are you talking about the indents in rocks? You can make another secret base if you want, and the first one will disappear.

2. Ok, so I can't cut down trees? :/ How am I supposed to get to that pokebal item on Route 1 then? (And according to your screenshot, the training area).
3. No not inside my base, but near that cave, there are two dark squares in the rock walls (indents?) And I bought myself a pkmn doll, put it in the secret base(tree above the Furniture Shop), will I lose that?

| 2. Cut hasn't been placed in the game yet. You can't get to some of the things yet because of it (like the pokeball).
3. Try making them into secret bases. If you replace your base, you don't lose anything. It simply changes the location (and shape/size/terrain) of the base. All your furniture will be back in the PC. |

Ok, so I got secret power, I read a sign that said "The secret lies within the immediate flower and the mossy trees.", then I used secret power on the flower to the right of it, but nothing happend..? After that I can't use secret power on it anymore untill I went in battle, restarted the game or went into a house. Why is this?
Pls help?
