| I got bored of everyone asking questions, so here's the most common ones. The top bit is the PT FAQ and the bottom bit is the GFF FAQ. Use this topic for any questions you have that aren't shown here.
Pokemon Twilight FAQ
Q. What happens after the third gym?
A. Although that's where the story stops (for now), you can try to catch all the Pokemon and find Secret Areas. New content is in the works, but it takes time, so you have to be patient.
Q. How can I catch [anypokemonhere]?
A. Take a look at the unofficial PT guide.
Q. When does [anypokemonhere] evolve?
A. Take a look at the unofficial PT guide.
Q. What is [anypokemonhere] based on? Why is it called what it's called? What did it use to look like?
A. The species guide contains all this and much more!
Q. Where is the latest version of PT found?
A. The YoYoGames version is always the latest one (apart from betas, which are private). It can be downloaded here, or played directly here.
Q. Do I lose all my progress whenever a new version of PT is released?
Nope, you can continue to play with your save file intact.
Q. Is PT finished?
A. No, PT is a WIP. It's currently on version 5.08 at the moment.
Q. Is it still being worked on though? How can I tell?
A. Have a look at the news topic, which offers up-to-date information on PT's progress.
Q. How many pokemon are obtainable in Pokemon Twilight in the latest version?
A. Excluding any events, 64.
Q. How many pokemon can you catch in PT?
A. At the moment, only 64 are obtainable. Eventually, PT will have 150.
Q. Can you catch real pokemon in PT?
A. No.
Q. Can you tell me where a secret area is?
A. No. They're called secret areas for a reason. You have to find them yourself.
Q. Why can't I battle online?
A. It hasn't been made yet. It'll be coming in the next major patch.
Q. Are there any major differences to the main pokemon games?
A. Yes, a few. An extra type (Light) has been added (the effectivenesses can be found in the guide). There are now 7 pokemon in a party instead of 6. Pokemon can get to level 150 instead of 100. The shiny chance has been changed to 7800 (or 7000 for a starter) instead of 8192. The move you use when you have no PP left has been named from Struggle to Flail. You can now catch money and furniture as well as pokemon by fishing.
Q. How many gyms are there in PT?
A. So far, there are 3 playable ones. The other 5 will come in later versions.
Q. When does the daycare open?
A. In a later version of PT.
Q. Is there more than one shiny form per pokemon?
A. At the moment, no. In the future, yes.
Q. PT is asking me to remove Cheat Engine even though I've already uninstalled it. Why?
A. This shouldn't happen anymore, but if it does, delete the empty CE folder from program files.
Q. Can I load my save from a previous version of PT?
A. The newest version of PT will only load saves from a few minor versions back, not v4.
Q. I can't connect to a server! What do I do?
A. The server isn't up 100% of the time. Just be patient and wait for it to be refreshed.
Q. Why can't I upload pokemon?
A. Sometimes, when a glitch is found with uploading, the feature is disabled while it's fixed. You'll have to wait until the next patch to start uploading.
Q. How do I trade in-game?
A. Once you're connected to a server and in a session, head over to one of those small computers in the top left of a PC. Press X and to start the trade, and wait until another person starts trading with you.
Q. What does the sign that you can't get to in the secret TM area say?
A. "Cheater." (How did I know this? Due to a glitch that allowed you to get there.)

Q. Why does [anymemberhere]'s signiture have my name in it?
A. More than likely they're using a special [tag] which displays the name of whoever's viewing it - you.
Q. Who is Pantheon?
A. Pantheon is the shoutbox chatbot. He replies every now and again.
Q. Can I change my username?
A. You'll have to PM Kabob799 if you want your username changed.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. You can't yet, though it should be something that's programmed fairly soon.
Q. What is the link up the top-right of the page called "Pokemon Center"?
A. It's where you can see your uploaded pokemon and accept trades for other people's pokemon.
Q. When I try to edit it just takes me back to the edit page. Why is this?
A. The edit feature has a word requirement. If you do not have enough words in your post, it will not allow you to edit it to this. Strangely this does not apply to new posts, which can be annoying as you can add to a post and not be allowed to edit it.

| Where is the Rocket Base in Russet City? Is it a big green building? If it is, when I try to enter that building it doesn't work!

| I've just found two glitches!
1. At secret place 1 (on route 1 I'm sure that's where it is) it says something about a secret, a flower and some mossy trees. I "talked" to the flower and it says: "Something seems strange. Use Secret Power?". I select "yes" but nothing happens. I did that more than 10 times.
2. There is a boy on an island in route 11, where I found Bubblebeam. He says: "I fooled you!" and the battle begins. It says that he uses a pokemon called "." and then the game crashes.
Can someone help me? |

Certain Pokemon will only evolve when levelled up whilst holding the moonstone.
With your other questions:
1. Like TD says, we can't give hints about secret areas. They're not glitches.

But there are no corn fields in Ivory Farm...
Oh, they're only there part of the year. The sun stone will still be in that area though. |

I'm sorry for you but you can only pick up sticks in certain months. I have got 7 of them 'cause I've picked them up in January or February.
If you would like to trade me a pokemon with a great ball attached to it I would trade you a pokemon with a stick attached to it. |

Unfortunatly, Jelluminous is not available in the current version.

Pokemon aquired from trades get EVs at the same rate regular Pokemon do. You're half-right about saying that traded Pokemon level up to weaker stats in Gen 1, but it's not exactly true. In Gen 1, there was stat exp. instead of EVs, and every time a Pokemon defeated a Pokemon, each individual base stat would be added to a collective total for the Pokemon. The highest amount you could get was 65535, although I believe you needed around 63302 or something to max out a stat. Since traded Pokemon gain exp faster, they do end up weaker, but the difference can be made up at anytime, since Pokemon don't stop gaining stat exp. at Lv. 100 (btw, stat exp. grinding takes forever ). This is similar to how EV training works in Gen 5, where Pokemon don't stop gaining EVs until they hit their peak, instead of being unable to gain EVs naturally after LV. 100 in Gen 3 and 4.

Speaking of exp, does a pokemon leveling up more than once after gaining a certain amount of exp have any effect on its potential stats (EVs and IVs aside)?
Yeah. My Mayzie leveld up three times when I deafeted a lvl 40 Mog (gained half of xp since I put it first and then swiched and defeated Mog with Infernox). |
