Beet Part Test
So basically I'm asking if anyone would like to help come up with ideas and what not. It's not a full fledged idea yet, but with a little prodding, I think a fun game could be created.

| Sounds like Spore/Hero whatever... but cool still.
Would this be turn-based or action/real-time?

| Though some of the lines could use some work, the logo looks cool :D
I feel like there needs to be some more direction provided to us before we can give good suggestions though... For example: What does the game play like?
Personally, I believe that there should be various stats that each body part affect so for wings there could be:
- jump height
- jump control when not on ground
- weight (contributes to overall speed)
Elaborating on weight, I think it should be the stat that limits how "good" your beetle can be... The strength of the beetle would be controlled by how high of level it is to prevent a low level beetle from getting high level parts.
Legs could give: attacks (stabbing?) speed boosts?
but then again... this sounds a lot like Spore doesn't it.... :/ |

Meh, the lines are fine. I specifically made the squares increase in width as it goes to the right. Also.. this topic isn't exactly about the spriting haha.
Also, I just added some more info.. I believe |

Sounds interesting!

| This one... its major part plays pretty much in combo of how we have described it...
Though technically Darkspore is more like what we have described... |

| I think it's mainly going to go that most parts have a different wait on them. The higher the level, the more wait the Beet can hold. So different combinations of a part would have different weights. And this would directly effect battle, because the heavier the opponent, the harder it is to push them out of the ring. Heads would have a stat called "Push" the more push a head has, the more force is inflicted on the opponent. Wings and legs would give the Beet Extra speed, so even with the amount of wight the carry, they still can move faster. Bodies will be used for extra weight only and no extra characteristic. |

YESSSSSS!!!! So what do you think... storyline... or just driven by achievment?
Because.. uhh.. story causes me to make more sprites... and program more haha. |

| I was kind of thinking just sort of point and click |

| ... point of view ≠ point and click.
point of view = like mario with a side view
of
point of view = like zelda with a over the head view
point of view ≠ point and click. |

Mistaken. ^^
Pont of view = first person point and click. Appearance of player controlled character is minimal to absent. |

this does not say first person.

Now you have point of view and interaction type :]
besides point and click can be third person eg: Machinarium or Samorost |

Wow, those are some cool little games there! And I feel that if a game is based on the computer, it should have controlls that any average user could use. (ie, mouse) |

Any average user should be able to use the keyboard >.>
sure I was just wondering the point of view... so how would point and click work with what you described? is this in 3d? |

Yeas, but not most computor users are experienced gamers that know basic keyboard control patterns. Mouse is simple. Game is Controlled by various screens and such. |
