| STORY
it is a day like anyother, our hero goes to meet there best friend for breakfast, just like any other day...only
she never shows up. you look for her, and find out many more of your race are missing. you look into it for days
with no success, finally, you find a lead...
you find out that there is a plot which will eradicate vast numbers of your kind. you -, however. many others are
being gathered up for some unknown purpose, and you are swept up as well. wisked off to a maze of underground
passages, also known as "the gauntlet". once used to train top-notch soldiers at the same teir as our worlds
"navy seals", now used to hold many captive.
OBJECTIVE
you must find your way back to the surface, and try to rescue your friend and others before it's too late.
however, others in the gauntlet are terror stricken, and trying to claw there way to the surface.
destroying anyone, and anything in there path.

stats.
these are various things that determine how much energy is drained while completing puzzles.some stats are:
lp: health, if this drops to zero...game over.
ep: energy, this depletes over time as you do the various puzzles, fight, or whatever. if it drops to zero,
health is used instead where it would deplete.
out of battle
str: strength, lowers ep depleted while doing puzzles that push, pull, work the muscles.
int: intelegence, slightly lowers ep depleted from all puzzles.
dex: dextarity, lowers ep depleted while doing puzzles that require dextarity.
agy: agility, determines jumping ability
per: sensory perception, lowers ep depleted while doing puzzles that require perception
con: constitution, determines whether floor buttons are pushed or not upon stepping on them.
in battle
str: determines physical damage dealt, reduces physical damage recived.
int: decreases skill damage taken
dex: determines accuracy, determines skill damage dealt
agy: determines evasion
per: raises both accuracy and evasion. both avareged with the appropriate stat.
con: determines hp, and ep
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
stat training
str: (early>late)
int: (early=late)
dex: (early>late)
agy: (early<late)
per: (early<late)
con: (early=late)
effort value determination
str: ep depleted from working muscles/((str+level)/2)=% that str might rise
int: solve speed/turns taken to solve=% that int might rise
dex: (to be determined)
agy: (to be determined)
per: (to be determined)
con: (to be determined)
stats to work on to encourage other stats % to go up slightly.
basicly, stats that are high will encourage other stats % to go up slightly.
str: con+agy
int: con+per
dex: per+int
agy: dex+str
per: int+dex
con: str+agy
(constitution raises the % for intelegence because a healthy body=a healthy mind.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
at the begining of the game, you pick 1 of 3 charecters, 1 of sevral upbrinings, and 1 of sevral jobs. these
determine many things.
x= charecter
y= upbrining
z= job class
speed of skills learned rate of stat level up skills learned starting stats
x+y+(z/2) x+(y/2)+z (x/2)+y+z x+y+z
...it's a crass concept. but basically what inspired this was i was wondering why in the ledgend of zelda, link never got tired. WTF? so I came up with this idea, and was working on the idea for about a year untill i finally got something that seemed good. there are many other factors going into various things, but i didn't think I'd burden you with the information just yet.

WHAAAAA....!!???! |

| Umm, hope you don't mind if I fix up some of the stuff you wrote.
Feel free to edit your post with the changes if you like.
QUOTE: STORY
Our hero goes to meet their best friend for breakfast, just like any other day... only she fails to show up. You (the hero) look for her, and find out many others are missing. You investigate the disappearances, this proves unsuccessful. After a few days, however, you manage to find a lead. You discover that there's a plan to eradicate most of your kind. Certain others are being gathered for a different purpose, and you are swept up as with them. Whisked off to an underground maze known as "The Gauntlet". The Gauntlet was once used to train first-rate soldiers at the same skill as Earth's Navy SEALs, now it's being used to hold you and your people captive.
OBJECTIVE
You must find your way back to the surface while trying to rescue your friend, and others of your kind, before it's too late. However, some of those trapped in The Gauntlet are terror stricken and are trying to claw their way back to the surface, destroying anyone, and anything in their path...
Also correct spelling of words:
whisked
tier
received
averaged
basically
intelligence
beginning
characters
several
legend
Also try to use the correct spelling for there/their/they're.
Apart from that, I don't quite understand how the stat training works.
str: (early>late) makes no sense to me at all.

| i don't quite understand either...lol
basically, the early>late means it is more likely to rise at earlier levels rather than late ones...I actually considered not posting the ends and outs, but figured it would help get a since of the game. this is one of the MANY hidden variables that goes into what stats a character gains, and what skills they learn. by the way the "upbringing" factor...hard to explain. If you were raised on a farm, your naturally going to have more strength from working your muscles so much. that's what i mean by that. just knew people would get tangled in the ends and outs...how do you use spoiler tags? |

| thank you for your help and constructive criticism. I'd rather people tell me where i need to improve on a project rather then ONLY pointing out what is good about it. Although i would like to know what is good about it and where i need to improve |
