No, shiny Pokemon never gained more EXP. than normal Pokemon. Only traded Pokemon get the 1.5 EXP boost.

Yeah, Pokemon Twilight is the first Pokemon game he has played probably (as he does not play Nintendo games), so please forgive him.

I've noticed that as I'm battling wild Pokemon of a certain level (using only one pokemon), I'll gain a certain amount of exp and then at some point, battling the same wild pokemon (with the same level and still using only one pokemon) will suddenly net only half the normal exp (this seems to happen after a battle where I've used more than 2 or 3 pokemon to defeat one opponent pokemon); is this a glitch or an intentional gamepaly mechanic?

That's definitely a glitch - the problem has to do with how the game handles switching. When that happens, the game doesn't realize that you didn't switch and only gives you half of what you should have earned. If you save and close PT before opening again, the effect will go away.

Whew; that sure makes quite a difference. Speaking of exp, does a pokemon leveling up more than once after gaining a certain amount of exp have any effect on its potential stats (EVs and IVs aside)?

The amount of EXP gained and EVs gotten from an enemy Pokemon don't directly relate to each other. If a Cubbear leveled up twice after defeating a Jurker which gives +1 Sp.D EV, it would still get 1 EV, and thus won't have an adverse reaction to leveling up twice. If anything, it just means that you'll be stronger for a little while since your level jumped.

Yeah. My Mayzie leveld up three times when I deafeted a lvl 40 Mog (gained half of xp since I put it first and then swiched and defeated Mog with Infernox).

No no, what I mean, for example is: can that Mayzie gain stats to the same degree as if it had only leveled up one at a time? Or does training "too fast" compromise potential stats in any way? Nevertheless, congrats on the level up pokemontwilight_fan.

The stats will end up the same regardless. Because there is a limit of 510 EVs per Pokemon and a 255 EV limit for every stat, it doesn't matter how fast or slow you gain EVs as long as you're actually getting them and they're not all falling on the same stat

Thanks. I don't know anything about EVs and IVs cause I never played any pokemon game before. But Coronation seems to know everything about them.

IVs are individual values; these determine how high each stat will be when a pokemon reaches level 100. EVs are effort values; when a Pokemon is defeated, you will gain EVs that determine which stat will increase by how much. Say you defeated a Lolzie, you would get an EV in defense. This has no effect. However, if you were to gain enough EVs in one particular stat, when you level up, that stat will increase depending on the amount of EVs you earned. However, evolved Pokemon give you two-three times as much EVs, as well as EVs in more than one state. Say you defeated a bunch of Pokemon that gave you speed EVs, while you only defeated a few pokemon with HP EVs. Depending on the number of EVs each individual one gave you, you would earn say, at least +3 speed and +1 HP. If you did not battle any pokemon with a particular EV, the stat may still increase if the Pokemon has high IVs in that particular stat. Hope I helped!

When you say "highest stat", do you mean: 1) The highest legal stat number possible in the main Pokemon games? 2) The highest legal stat number possible in PT? 3) The highest stat number possible in the main game's coding? If you were thinking #1, than it would be Blissey's base 255 HP, which amounts to a massive 714 HP at Lv. 100 with 31 EVs and 252 EVs in HP. If you were thinking #2, then it would most likely be Fluzzer's base 140 Speed, which amounts to 379 Speed at Lv. 100 with 31 Speed EVs and 252 EVs in Speed. However, if it has an Energetic Nature, which provides a 30% boost in Speed, then it would be 492 Speed. If you were thinking #3, then it would be 65535 HP (represented as ?35). Of course, you couldn't go anywhere near that legally...

Yeah... should have specified that, I meant #2... but thanks for all the information anyway, pretty interesting actually and crazy that you know it that detailed! :) Anyway, can you tell me the highest base stat for PT in HP, attack, defense, sp. attack, sp. defense, and speed?

That would be very difficult to answer, as only a portion of base stats for PT Pokemon have been released. Legendaries excluded, the Pokemon with the highest Special Attack would probably be either Nucleor or Boolian. However, I don't know their base stats, so I have to guesstimate. I know for a fact that Dionius has base 120 Sp.A though. Gyrowl has base 140 Defense. I don't think there's anything higher. Jelluminous has base 116 Sp.D. I don't know if anything goes higher, but it probably does. Mogre has base 125 Attack, which is pretty good. I don't know about HP, but if I had to guess, I'd say Manumba has the highest, because Mumba already has base 95 HP. However, I'm most likely mistaken on this prediction.

Is Mogre an evolved form of Mog?

Nope, completely unrelated, despite the similar names.
