Sorry, my mistake...
Oh, about the forum interface, I think it has too many flaws for you guys to be thinking about translation...
I have suggested many improvements to the forum system, and options but they fell in the hole, nobody even replied... :/
The translation process should be secondary, first, you should focus in making it more user friendly... :/ The contents are cool, but the root system of the forum, stinks like hell... :/

Like this: People here can't have the last post twice (I know, I know, flood and stuff...) BUT... That also means, that when you make a change, edit your topic, ect. it doesn't appear on top! It doesn.'t appear on th Last post info, and well, it doesn't appear anywhere... So... How do people know if there are changes in toppics they wanna see? :/
This stuff is BASIC, there's no need for a programing PRO to change stuff like this...
Also, I think people would help translate it, if it were to be only French/German/English/Spanish, something like this... Only a few languages... :)
And, on a final note, this forum is too Dead, there are so few people coming here everyday to check the forum, it's understandable that you can't find people to translate this...
There are no Threads to keep people interested on coming here... Also, when was the last time GF replied to a Thread that wasn't that one of his new Game? :/
I think that makes a difference, also, if the "mayor" would step up sometimes, and talk to people about the stuff that's going on around here...
Sorry for the complaining, but it's my oppinion, and based on the flow of things here, it's not that far from the thruth... :/

| You haven't suggested any features that aren't already on the planned feature list. If your not going to translate then don't reply to this topic anymore =/ The forum has been focused mostly on the shoutbox thats why topics don't get posted in much. |

I kinda like the title Mayor. If it hadn't been given to me by a nonsensical rambling buffoon I think I'd be flattered!
On a side note, if you have problems with our forum, please refrain from slapping your opinion on any thread your eager paws come across. The lack of upstanding citizens is worse than a quiet mayor. Just sayin'

Ignoring your personal attacks, I just want to say that most things in here are cool, I just want to help, and you have never seen anything but respect in any of my toppics/threads, so I don't know why the attitude... I just said that because if you get more involved with the forum, people will start to come more to this forum.
Man, I have no beef with you (or anyone for that matter), so try not to insult me...
I gave my oppinion, I sticked to the toppic, I said I speak Portuguese, and I said that I already helped you, GF, by translating parts of the game to Portuguese, and a bit to french.
Also, I never said I wouldn't be helping with the FORUM translation, just pointed out that the translation should be a secondary matter, since the forum "Root System" is not at it's top shape yet.
I didn't mean to imply that it was a waste of time (Of course it isn't, accessibility is never a waste of time)... I just thought you guys were rushing out.
And, also, GF, (now to see who's nonsensical) Why did you make a forum, if you didn't want people to give their oppinion? LOL
Seriously, I like your game and I have nothing but respect for you as a Game Maker, but now you just didn't do that well with the talking, so maybe it is better for you to not get in touch with the people that play your games after all...
I'll tell you this: You need POPULARITY, and you're getting none like this, since you try to shut the fuck up anyone that wants to make your life easier by giving you help, and criticizing the things you ask people to critique... Really... :/

| This topic has nothing to do with this specific forums popularity, the translations are for the PycoForums system not just the Game Fortress Forums. It has nothing to do with the game and nothing to do with Game Fortress. |

Sorry, I thought that they were talking about this specific forum... But my point still applies, except for that popularity part. In fact, I wasnt' talking about the forum Pop, I was talking about the Game Maker Pop, you know, GF... I mean, the more people see the game, the more will play it, like it, and possibly buy one from him, if it were to create a game that requires to be Paid for... :/
I mean, that's basics... Everyone wants to reach out to the biggest possible number of people, am I wrong? :/ |

| KaBob owns Pycoforums, and it's one of the things he'll try to earn money with. Like he said, the main feature is the shoutbox. Still, he's trying to translate as much as possible to reach as many people as possible.

| i just realized...if the forum dies. the shoutbox could suffer with it...what if you have like an atuomatic translation? like, someone could type something in there own language, and it would translate and localize it for that region. i wont post in this thread anymore, since i don't have the time to help with translations |

that kind of translation must be impossible. It's just like google translate but even most translation programs don't translate properly because of language grammer differences

Oh, and the "> Reply" Button, that appears on each post, along with the "Reply #numberhere should be "Responder" and "Responder #Numberhere" :P
The edit button, should be "Editar"... :) Pages should be "Páginas", Go button should be a "Ir" button...
They are only minor things, but I'm pointing them, so they aren't left out... :P
Other than the minor things, it looks cool! I wonder If the other languages are like this^^, Maybe I'll check them^^ |
